Organosilicon Wetting Agent, Water-based PU Coating Wetting Agent, Ion Exchange Membrane Surface Treatment

This product is a low-viscosity, low-surface-tension organosilicon polymer. It imparts excellent spreading, wetting, and penetration properties, making it a new type of high-efficiency organosilicon additive.

It provides good spreadability and wettability to hard-to-treat substrates, such as high-gloss packaging materials like polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyester. Suitable for inks, decorative and industrial coatings for plastics, metals, and wood. Used as a wetting agent and leveling agent in water-based, UV-curable, conventional solvent-based, and high-solids coatings, with recoatability and gloss retention features. This product is commonly used in water-based PU coatings.

Application Recommendations

• Recommended dosage: 0.1-1.0% based on total formulation

• Addition method: Can be added during grinding or stirring, or post-added after production. For ease of addition, pre-dilute with a suitable solvent.

• Solvent types: Water, alcohols, alkanes, aromatics can be diluted in any ratio.

Precautions

May have foam-stabilizing effect in water-based systems. Alternatively, select BD-3281 with better defoaming performance.

Taboos

Use with caution when mixing with other additives. Below freezing point, it may form emulsions, which recover upon warming; for applications requiring precision, re-test applicability.

Packaging and Storage

This product can be transported and stored as non-hazardous chemicals. Packaging specifications: 25Kg plastic drums, 200Kg plastic drums, or customized. Store in a cool, dry, sealed place. Shelf life: 12 months.
