Silicone Leveling Agent, Polyurethane Foam Uniforming Agent, Nonwoven Hydrophilic Treatment
Reduces system surface tension, promotes leveling, improves substrate wetting, prevents cratering. Also enhances surface slip and gloss. Due to its hydroxyl functional groups, it can crosslink to the surface via reactive groups for lasting performance.
Typical Applications
- Polyurethane uniform foaming
- General industrial coatings
- Nonwoven hydrophilic treatment
Application Recommendations
-
Recommended dosage: 0.05-1% based on total formulation
-
Addition method: Can be added at any stage of production. For ease, pre-dilute with suitable solvent.
-
Solvent types: Water, alcohols, alkanes, aromatics can be diluted in any ratio.
-
Applicable coating systems:
Coating System Applicable UV system √ Solvent system √ Water-based system √
Precautions
Recoatability should not be an issue in most systems. While it aids release and anti-stick, optimized options exist for emphasizing these functions. May stabilize foam in systems. Consider adding defoamer during formulation testing, or switch to BD-3033-6. Risk: Cratering. Focus on this when selecting similar products. Test or inspect before industrial production.
