Acrylic resins that rapidly undergo crosslinking and curing under ultraviolet irradiation replace traditional thermal curing methods, featuring fast curing speed, excellent environmental performance (low volatile organic compound emissions), high hardness, superior abrasion resistance and chemical resistance, and are widely used in coatings, inks, adhesives, and other fields. Water-based UV systems are also highly popular. Matching silicone UV additives have gained a broad market application.

Defects inherent in UV acrylic resins, such as steam resistance, salt spray resistance, anti-aging, anti-blocking, tactile feel, and other issues, still require silicone additives for resolution. The new requirement for silicone additives is to participate in the UV curing reaction to fully integrate. Some systems require no impact on transparency. For example:
- UV clearcoats: Recommended to add BD-2505 to improve tactile feel and gloss while ensuring no impact on system transparency, and enhance comprehensive performance such as abrasion resistance, yellowing resistance, and weather resistance.
- 3D printing acrylic consumables: Add BD-2780 or BD-2505 to improve product surface smoothness and. Enhance resin toughness and comprehensive performance such as abrasion resistance, yellowing resistance, and weather resistance.
- UV coatings anti-graffiti: Add BD-2780 or BD-2505 to improve coating anti-graffiti and self-cleaning properties.
